Interview for the Successful Illustrator in Taiwan and China--Wan Wan

1. When were you beginning painting?
Wan Wan says she begin painting when she was in elementary school. She loves painting, drawing, and doodling a lot at class.
2. Why do you want to focus on painting? Have you ever expected that your painting would become famous one day?
Wan Wan says she never expect herself to become a very famous illustrator, she just focuses on her artwork. She drawn a lot of comics or doodle many pictures, because she just wanted to express her thoughts about her life in blog. For example, she would complain about the boring routine job or what happen in her daily life, she says she just the small potato like us.
3. What do you think the most attracting part for people to enjoy your painting?
She thinks she help her audiences find a way to alleviate their stress, and her painting also receive the recognition from her audience, because her painting is all about her daily life, it’s the normal or regular things happen on ordinary people. Therefore, many people can easily know and understand about her painting. It seems that she and audiences have many things on common, they know each other a lot, so people may easily indulge in her painting and enjoy reading them.
4. Why do you want to create the cartoon character -- cute little boy ?
She says that she just wanted to show some posture that she have never done that before, so she designed the character with exaggerated posture . She told me that she merely wanted to share her artwork with everyone, everyone can use her drawing or picture she drew everywhere. She also painted the pictures for Messenger icons(MSN). However, she never thought that her artwork would be so popular, everyone use her artwork to express their ideas or emotion.
5. So what’s the secret in your painting?
She thinks that the simplest picture is the most difficult to paint because if there’s small detail you don’t paint well, people would easily to recognize or identify that painting is something wrong with it. Therefore, she would try to focus on every detail on her paintings to make it right and express the exactly ideas she wants to convey.
6. Do you have some inspiring words to share with some infamous illustrators ?
She says ,“ Persisting on your artwork, don’t let passion extinguish easily just by your reputation .” The good quote to share with everyone 
